David Lee Kirk, Jr, 54, died unexpectedly at his home in Des Moines, IA on May 14, 2020. He was born February 10, 1966, in Oskaloosa, IA to David Lee Kirk, Sr, and Phyllis McAdoo Kirk.
He attended Oskaloosa Schools and was a graduate of the Oskaloosa Class of 1984. He later attended college at IHCC and DMACC. He loved the restaurant business, working many years at his family’s restaurants and eventually owning his own restaurant. David enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and the Washington Redskins. He was a kind and caring friend to all who met him. David was known for telling funny stories and being the life of the party.
He is survived by his stepmother Cecilia, sister Chris (Tasos) Boosalis, brother Leo Kirk, sister Laurie (Bobby) Mc Glothlen, sister Gladys (Victor) Vigil, many stepsiblings, nieces, and nephews in Iowa and New Mexico. David is dearly loved and will be missed by everyone who knew him. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no funeral services. He will be cremated and there will be a private burial at a later date. All memorials can be directed to Curing Kids Cancer.
David was preceded in death by his father David and his mother Phyllis.

I am honored and blessed to have known David. He was truly a blessing in my life. He will be missed and his kindness will never be forgotten. May God give him eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the great pain. I cant imagine what the family must be feeling right now. My heartfelt condolences. David, until we meet again.?????????
