Sharon Kaye Neal

Sharon Kaye Neal, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, May 15, 2020, at MercyOne Medical Center from heart failure.
A graduate of North High School, Sharon entered the workforce at Meredith Publishing in Des Moines. She was a consistent and hard worker in administrative positions at United Robinsons, Ardan’s, and Office Supply among others. Sharon worked past the age of 70 as a store manager and buyer.
Sharon was a true shopaholic. When she wasn’t out looking for bargains, she enjoyed bowling, boating, gardening, and watching mystery movies. Sharon loved to watch college football and basketball; especially supporting the Iowa Hawkeyes, UNI Panthers, Iowa State Cyclones, and Drake Bulldogs. She loved being a fan for the state of Iowa. Her greatest joy of all was spending time with loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ruby (Peters) Milinsky; husband, John A. Neal, and her brother, Donald Milinsky. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda J. West (Griz) and Reneé K. Carmichael (Jim); grandchildren, Marty West (Mary), Alex West (Meghan), Mindy West, Lyndsey Bowles (Brad), and Ryan Carmichael. Sharon was also loved by 8 great-grandchildren and her siblings, JoAnn Bingaman (Harold), Robert Milinsky, and Richard Milinsky (Patricia).

Rhonda & Renee & family, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss of mom/grandma. I worked with Sharon Kaye @ Ardan's. She was one of my most favorite people that I worked with there. She had such an infectious laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
