Marilyn Torgerson, age 76, passed away at her home on Monday, May 11, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was born the daughter of Emil and Rosey Bohrer on July 12, 1943 in Jackson County, Missouri. Marilyn loved her family, reading, playing Words with Friends and going for car rides. Above all, she loved giving and receiving hugs. Almost instinctively, hugs were the fee to enter her home.

She is lovingly survived by husband, Donald; daughters, Rebecca (Mike) Hammar, Juanita (James) Spangler and Jennifer (Zach) Baier; grandchildren, Derek, Riley, James, William, Jonathan, Heather and Carrie; 24 loving brothers and sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; and 10 siblings.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2020, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
