Rebecca Sue Crandall
Of Des Moines, Iowa
Rebecca Sue Crandall, age 67, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Taylor House Hospice. She was born the daughter of Wallace and Marjorie Crandall on November 19, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Rebecca was a factory worker at Behavioral Technology. Rebecca had a larger than life personality and you always knew exactly what she was thinking. She would dance at the drop of a hat and loved singing. There was never a song she did not know the lyrics to. Rebecca loved holidays, especially Christmas and if she had it her way the tree would be up year round. She made sure the day after Thanksgiving the tree went up and if for some reason it was not you would receive the silent treatment till it was put up. Her favorite food was hamburgers, french fries and Diet Coke. Rebecca’s bright smile, kind heart and contagious laughter will be missed by many.
She is lovingly survived by her sisters, Linda (Bill) Schall and Debbie Crandall; two nieces, Teri (Richard) and Barb (Eddie); and 6 great nephews.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Dale Crandall.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2020 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Elm Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please bring a balloon for a balloon release in memory of Rebecca.
The family wishes to send out a very special thank you to Tracy Moore and her family at Mainstream Living who provided such great care to Rebecca. Thanks, also, to the caring people of Taylor House Hospice.

Oh....Becky Boo, what can I say. Girlie you are going to be missed by so many people. The house just is too quiet. I know you were tired and I told you we would be okay. But what I wouldn't do to hear one more time "Tracy Moore, I woke up today" followed by your amazing laugh and "give me a kiss, honey"
