Norbert "Nub" Lepley

Norbert Lee “Nub” Lepley, age 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 5th, 2020. He passed away in Des Moines, Iowa with his loving wife by his side.
Norbert was born September 1, 1947 to Glenn and Dorothy (Marsh) Lepley and he grew up in Lacona, Iowa. He graduated from Southeast Polk High School in 1965. He went into the US Army and served our country during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he worked for Capital City Boilers, Smart Industries and then, Artistic Manufacturing, until his retirement in 2007.
He is survived by his wife Lorna; step children: Renae (Jason) Davisson, Sara (Justin) Grove of Des Moines, Iowa, and Ryan (Melanie) Neer of Liberty, MO; six grandchildren: Mitchell, Nathan, Benjamin, Natalie, Maverick and Nina; brother Paul (Judy) Lepley of Camdenton, MO; nieces: Michelle Miller, Amanda Kluver, Gina Seuferer, Chris Lepley; and nephew Brent Lepley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Connie Seuferer, brother Ronnie Lepley, niece Tammy El-Chemetelli, and nephew Doug Seuferer.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the folks at the VA CLC and the health aides, nurses, and especially Andrew Nicholson for their help which allowed Norbert to remain at home.
A celebration of life will be held on August 8 at 11:00 at the Hyatt Place, 480 Bass Pro Dr. NW, Altoona, Iowa, 50009 with a reception following the service.
