Marie Moreland

Marie Alice Moreland, 93, passed away January 16, 2007 at the Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House. Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service. Burial will take place in Elkhart cemetery.
Marie was born October 27, 1913 in Perry, Iowa. She graduated from Roosevelt High School. Marie married Clifford Moreland on August 17, 1935. Marie worked for Younkers in the bookkeeping department in her earlier years. In later years she worked at the Iowa Department of Revenue during tax time. Marie enjoyed being with her many friends at the Sunnyview Care Center in Ankeny. She loved playing cards with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed doing needle work and crocheting as well as gardening and flowers.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Patricia McNaney (Steve); her sister, Lorraine Smith and Step-Sister, Jayne Beall; her grandchildren, Kevin, Jeff and Susan; her great grandchildren, Ryan, Mollie, Amanda, Marena, Stephen, Amaya, Matthew and Morgan. She was preceded in death by her husband on January 16, 1975.
