Steven Bales, age 30, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020. He was born on December 12, 1989 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was the middle child of three boys. Steven graduated from East High School in 2008 and worked several jobs after high school. He attended Vatterott College to study Heating & Cooling (2011-2012) and worked for Premier Pest Control.

Some of his hobbies and interests included bowling leagues, avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan, fishing, camping, and tubing all over Iowa and Missouri. Above everything, he loved helping family and friends out and cherished time spent with his girls and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is lovingly survived by his daughters, Bailie and Reagan; parents, Dorrie (Sarah) Luncsford-Mays and Blake Bales; brothers, Jeremy (Amanda) Bales and Travis Bales; grandparents, Don and Lorraine Luncsford; uncles, Robert (Karen) Luncsford, Brian (Becky) Bales, Willis (Melinda) Bales, Shane (Charity) Bales, and Joe Foley; aunts, Dawnn (Sam) Elliott, Janice (John) Easley and Jenny (Vince) Friend; in-laws, Gary and Christine Kern; sister-in-law, Jackie (Mike) Lynch; brother-in-law, Bryan (Stephanie) Kern; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Steven was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Dorothy Bales and Shirley Foley; grandfathers, Earl Foley and Marion Bales; great-grandparents, Russ and Nelda Knapp; uncle, Russ Luncsford; and aunts, Sherry Bales and Brenda Foley.
