Frances Elaine Steltzer

Frances was born August 1, 1941 in Novinger, MO to Richard and Velma (Walters) Warden. She died April 10, 2020.

Frances lived in the Des Moines area most of her life. She worked as a Quality Assistant for Rees Associates for 13 years, retiring in 2004. She moved to West Des Moines in 2005.

She is survived by sons Gerald, Charles (Kristy), and Michael (Kari) Steltzer; daughter Lucinda Steltzer; brothers James, Ronnie, Donnie, Dale, and Jerry; sister Janice; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; sister, Willa Jo; and sisters, Daisy and Joyce.

There will be a public visitation Wednesday, April 15th, 5 pm to 8 pm, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th St, Des Moines. Due to public gatherings being limited to 10 people or less, Hamilton’s staff will be rotating guests out of the funeral home in a timely manner to ensure everyone has the opportunity to pay their respects to the family. A service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 16th, at the funeral home, followed by a graveside service at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
