The Homegoing Celebration for Jerry Lee Harris
Jerry L. Harris, age 55, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6, 2020 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born September 22, 1964 in Cook County, Illinois to James Robert Bell and Mary A. Cutler Harris.
He graduated from Eupora High School. Jerry was a self-employed, extraordinary mechanic and he could fix anything! He enjoyed working on bicycles and watching movies on his gaming system. Jerry also loved spending time with his family and friends. Jerry really loved his sweets, cakes, cookies, and pies.
Jerry is survived by his siblings, Dorothy Williams, Dennis Williams, Annie Mae Harris (Chicago, IL), Carolyn Harris, Yolanda Griffin Harris, Marvell Griffin, Penny Lee Harris (Des Moines, IA), Larry Bell, Reggie Bell (Kalamazoo, MI), Valerie Watkins; son, Jeremy Watkins Harris; daughter, Valicia Fisher; grandchildren, Nakia Fisher, Jerream Watkins Harris; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Mary A. Cutler Harris and James Robert Bell; sister, Joanne Harris; and nephew, Jimmy Harris.
The family of Jerry L. Harris would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and condolences in our time of sorrow. May the Lord continue to shower you with many blessings.

I will never forget the time we spent as children growing up at our grandparents ,and occasionally visit at the home place in Eupora,Ms. My heart was sadden, today. Rest in paradise Unk. I've been around the family since a baby, an Uncle Jerry has always treated me as such. He was always the go to about anything with vehicles. You are most definitely loved an will truly be missed. Praying for strength for the family ??. Love always??
