Richard Andersen

Richard S. Andersen passed away on April 15, 2009. Visitation will be held at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Saturday, April 18, 2009 from 1 to 2 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Glendale's Masonic Cemetery, 1550 48th St. at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Richard was born on July 30, 1924 to Katherine and Svend "Jack" Andersen. He served in the US Army in Europe during WWII. He was a master stonemason and bricklayer and spent most of his life in Des Moines.
He is survived by his daughters, Pamela and Norla; and eight grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Alice R. Andersen.
