I am so sorry to hear of the difficult death of Muggs. I went to Fairbury High School with him, where we had so much fun together in the band. (We called him Muggsy!) His mother and my father worked together for the Rock Island in Fairbury and in Des Moines. I last saw Muggs many years ago, when he worked for the optometry group. Although we lost touch, Ive always had fond memories of him and I offer my condolences to his family.

Gayle was a good man, a swell IASBOite! He was always there, in his seat at IASBO conferences, very bright and early in the morning. He was always thinking about how he could help new members acclimate to the rigors of being a School Business Official. Thanks Gayle for a life well lived.

I had the pleasure of working with Gayle at the Des Moines School District. He was a knowledgeable mentor, a bit of a jokester, a friend and overall just a great person. We shared a love for Disney and M & Ms. May your family be comforted with the many years of wonderful memories you made and shared. I will miss you "Papa Bear". Rest in Peace. You are all in my prayers.
