Roxanne Kilbride, 70, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
Roxanne was born July 10, 1949 in Laurens, Iowa to LeRoy and Georgette Dahlberg. She graduated from Laurens High School and earned a BA degree in education from South Dakota State University. She was a social worker for most of her career in the Ft. Dodge and Des Moines areas. In her free time she enjoyed cooking, reading, puzzles, and painting by numbers.
She is survived by her sons, Derek (Jennifer) Kilbride, Dustin (Stephani) Kilbride, and David Kilbride; granddaughter, Clare; siblings, Jerry Dahlberg, Nancy Kirsch, Rhonda (Lauren) Weber, and Kathy (Mike) Wiley; former brother-in-law, Pat Kirsch; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Roxanne was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Georgette Dahlberg; nephews, Mark Kirsch and Bryce Wiley; and sister-in-law, Patricia Dahlberg.
According to Roxanne’s wishes, there will be no formal services held.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League.

I am so sorry for your loss. Most of you don't know me. I am Roxanne's cousin. I remember her mainly from her childhood. I knew she was not well but our paths had not crossed for quite some time. I will be praying for you. God bless.

I am sorry to hear that Roxanne passed away. I was happy when Roxanne moved from Ft. Dodge to Des Moines and we got to reconnect. I have wonderful memories of us as children playing in the barn and being pushed in the tire swing on the farm. I am heartbroken for you all!
