My friend, I really miss you and all the good times we had learning about Jehovah with our children! We have walked our field Service territory... To the Assembly Hall on 79th Street and as Louise reminded me , we even walked downtown! We had such innocent fun serving "the Happy God"! We were mothers with little means... But our trust in Jehovah, proved that he provides for those ones like us with little means... just like the birds... He showed us how valuable we were to Him!
Gloria IS my True Friend! Gloria, WE will be on the balcony waiting for you & the girls, in the resurrection???????? See you soon

Gerald, Anthony, & Louise. We truly will miss your mom as we do your sisters Kimberly and Gwendolyn. You are all very dear to us. Over the 40 years of knowing you from 69th & May, all of you are truly family to us.
Your lost is our lost. Gloria had so many wonderful attributes that just made you feel welcomed and at home in her company. No one was a stranger nor ever felt alone. Comforting, loyal and helpful always, are the things we'll always cherish the most when we remember Gloria.
May our memories of the good times with Gloria comfort us all, until Jehovah calls and she answer in the resurrection.

My condolences to you all. When I heard this unexpected news about Sister Shores, I was in shock! It still seems like a terrible dream. Such a beautiful woman; caring, loving, and graceful is no longer able to laugh or grace us with her beautiful smile. Eventhough we were miles apart, when she heard I was sick, she offered me support and tons of encouragement. I had no idea we would not see or speak to one another again because of death's separation. I know this is a difficult time for all of you her children, grandchildren and family because you have loss someone so precious and so very dear. In your grief, know that you are not alone. Jehovah is fully aware and in his due time, he will call and she will answer (Job 14:14,15). I look forward to our seeing her again...it's just around the corner. May you be comforted beyond measure. Hugs to you all.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of Gloria. The memory of her is etched in so many of my significant life events as well as just everyday fond memories. She felt like a member of the family. Her kindness was immeasurable. Her smile was contagious and she was a consistently authentic person, which is what made her so beloved by so many. She is already immensely missed and she will continue to reside in our memories and to remain a permanent fixture of our stories and in our hearts. Again, I am sending an abundance of love and comfort to her family and you will continue to be in my prayers. May the God of all comfort guard your hearts and your mental powers during this time of difficulty.

We will miss Gloria's support of our Thursday field service group. She's of the old school, not afraid of the weather, snow or rain didn't keep her from coming. Usually her little blue Fiat was first to arrive. If she couldn't get it to go, then came the phone call "Please come and get me". Gloria's support at the KH meetings is worthy of imitation. Her comments had spiritual depth showing that she prepared well for every meeting.
We have sadness now at her death, but think of the great joy we'll have at her resurrection when we can shout with gladness in seeing Gloria again!
