James Caraccio
March 18, 2020
On Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at the age of 77, Jim Caraccio of Clive, Iowa, passed away in Summerlin, NV. A private visitation and graveside service will be held. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
Jim was born on January 17, 1943 in Centerville, Iowa to Tony and Anne Caraccio. On November 21, 1964, Jim married Karen Rupe and they were blessed with three daughters.
Jim retired from Helena Chemical in 2011 where he held the position of Fertilizer Manager. Being the hard-working man he was, Jim still consulted for the company many years after he had retired.
He had a great love for his family, liked to play golf, and enjoyed watching sporting events and betting on football games.
Left to mourn his loss is his wife of 57 years, Karen; his three daughters, Kay, Kristi Pitz (Jeremy), and Toni Bast (Adam); 4 grandchildren, Nick, Chris, Sophie, and Emma; his brother, Frank (Vickie); and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and his two sisters, Barbara and Lucy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in loving memory of Jim. Online condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

Jim and I grew up together, friends as kids. We played on the same community college baseball team. We hooked back up when I was in Vegas for two years and he and Karen came out there to winter. He was a hell of a grand guy, had a great life and left us all with some wonderful memories. God grant peace to him and all his family.
