James Norman Kidd
March 17, 2020
James Norman Kidd, 80, passed away March 17, 2020. With the world as it currently is, a celebration of Dad’s life will be held at a later date.
Dad was the most giving and feeling man. He was very passionate about his family, friends and mankind and would give till the end. He was genuine to the core with a wonderful sense of humor which was light and inviting. He had an artistic flare, and when he put thought to a creation it became effortless. Dad had an innocence and infectious personality which made everyone feel comfortable sharing their stories with him. He also had a sense for saying the right thing at the right time and was encouraging and motivational. He lived by the phrase “love, love”.
Surviving to always love Dad, daughter, Kim Longley; son, Jeff Kidd; grandchildren, Adam and Peter Longley, Jacob Kidd; great-granddaughters, Izabella, Adaly, and Clara Longley.

This breaks my heart! He was such a good man. Funny, loving and generous! Even when Adam and I were no longer dating and just friends he never treated me any different. He always treated me like family.

Where does one begin when describing Jim. He was the most unique, one of a kind person Ive ever known. Always smiling. Always whistling. If anyone had the right to be down, it was him. Yet he was always upbeat. Even if it was just a facade. We played a lot of music trivia. He would whistle a tune and want me to guess what it was. More than once we had a good time singing Oh Happy Day. Always fun and never a dull moment!
Recently he told me that Martha was waiting for him. Her wait is over.
We will miss you beyond words, but so happy you are with your sweetheart again. Love you always, Jim ??

Jim attended bible study at Manor Care. He was such a light to everyone there. I will miss him so much! I learned a lot from him about the way to treat people.

"Captain" Jim Kidd was my friend. He brightened even the dreariest day with his ready smile, Irish speech impression, his zest for life & laughter. His genuine love for his family, his friends and his fellows will be greatly missed. Even when he couldn't stand comfortably, he was at his job, with a smile and a horrible old joke to tell. Jim's trip up to Heaven lessens every life he touched.
The Lord promises we will see you on the Other Side, Cap'n. Fair winds and following seas, my friend.
