Trent Lee Waltersdorf
March 11, 2020
Trent Lee Waltersdorf, 47, died Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at his home in Lacona, Iowa. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Trent Lee Waltersdorf, son of Larry and Linda Waltersdorf, was born April 17, 1972, the youngest of two sons. Trent grew up in Creston and Afton where he graduated from East Union High School in 1990.
Trent had a love for anything with a motor and started working for RJ’s Service Center in 1997. In 2012 he purchased the business, renaming it Trent’s Garage Complete Car Care Center, and completed his certification as a Certified Master Automotive Technician. He was known not only for the wonderful job he performed for each customer, but also for the unmatched customer service he and Amy provided at the garage where each customer became family.
On October 8, 2000, Trent and Amy Miller were married. They lived in Lacona, Iowa where they enjoyed raising their farm horses and Joey their beloved dog. Trent had a special love for Cabover semis and much to Amy’s dismay yelled, “there’s a Cabover” every time he saw one driving down the road.
Trent is survived by his wife, Amy Miller Waltersdorf; his parents, Linda (Jim) Randall of Osceola, Larry (Sharon) Waltersdorf of Creston; his brother, Shane (Myra) Waltersdorf of Osceola; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; and Joey.
Trent was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Arlene Madison, and Dale and Lois Waltersdorf
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Online condolences may be directed to www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

Growing up back in the day, Trent and I always had a liking for each other and I would say we're friends. Though as we grew older we lost touch, like most do, but to this day I would still call him friend. RIP my Friend!

Keeping you in my prayers?? I was with Laura Uttenreuther Morgan when we learned of Trents passing. Our conversation quickly turned to how AMAZING it was to see Trent and you carry on Bob Us legacy after his passing. Obviously, The Garage, but also the MANY little things -like KNOWING your customers and inviting them into your FAMILYwhat a GIFT you and Trent are to our community. Creating and building your animal family a GIFT of life and family to Gods creatures. And volunteering at Stilwell Junior Highs Career Day each year (one of Bobs favorites- and where Ive worked for 15 years) sharing your love and passion for your career/job/lifes work with our young people SPARKING that vehicle/mechanical passion, love of all things greasy and motorized, being an entrepreneur and your OWN boss, and a desire to provide a service to the community.
Praying you find PEACE in CELEBRATING Trents life, the contributions he made in others lives, and wrapping yourself in the MEMORIES shared at this time and in the coming days.

Amy we are so sad to hear of Trent's passing and mourn with you. Over the course of our relationship, we admired Trent's integrity, honesty, and friendliness in a world where those often seem in short supply. We consider ourselves very lucky to have had a relationship with both of you.
