Gene Crawford, age 92, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Valley View Village in Des Moines.
Gene was born February 8, 1928 in Osceola, Iowa to Clee and Bertha Crawford.
He was an Army Veteran serving in Japan just following World War II. He worked at the Ford Garage in Winterset for many years. Gene developed an interest in photography and used his creative eye to teach himself the art.
He is survived by his sons, Bob Crawford, Rich Crawford, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, wife Irene, grandson Justin, and sons Ron and Rod.
According to Gene’s wishes, there will be no formal services held at this time.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Irene.

So sorry to hear about Genes passing. Sorry we did not know earlier to express our condolences. We knew Gene & Irene in AZ, had many good times and photo excursions. Prayers and peace for your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with Gene's family.
I used to work with Gene at Larry's photography when I was in high school. He was always so happy, fun and silly. He was a great man and will be missed.
