Tom Lo

Tom Thi Lo passed away on March 6, 2020 at the age of 84, surrounded by her loving family.

Tom was born on May 20, 1935 in Son La, North Vietnam to Lo Van Noi (deceased) and Lo Thi Sang (deceased). She was the 4th of 8 children.

In 1960, Tom married Tho Van Lo (deceased) and they went on to raise 10 children together in Vientiane, Laos. Tom and Tho moved to Nong Khai, Thailand in 1977, immigrated to the United States in 1978 with their 10 children and settled in Inwood, IA.

After moving to the United States, Tom worked at K-Product in Rock Valley, IA. After retiring, Tom enjoyed sewing, crafting, reading and serving as the matriarch to her loving family. She was a skilled seamstress and caring mother figure.

Tom is lovingly remembered by her 10 children: Ngeune, Thouang, Phong, Khay, Kiene, Bon, Ly, Souane, and Hiene. Her husband Tho and her son Duc preceded her in death. She also has 26 beautiful grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Not only is Tom survived by her children, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and 3 of her 7 siblings; she is also survived by a multitude of other caring family members and friends.

Although her loss is unfortunate and untimely, it is comforting to know she passed peacefully and lived a full, happy life.
