Patricia St. John

Patricia Louise St. John, age 93, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Ramsey Village in Des Moines.

Patricia was born April 12, 1926 in Lorimor, Iowa to Harlan and Vera (Friday) St. John.

She dedicated many years of her life taking care of her mother, Vera St. John. She enjoyed participating in her church and was a member of Womens Circle at Union Park Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed family gatherings and events. Pat was also a member of the Sierra Club for many years and donated on a consistent basis. She loved animals and her cat Samantha was a joy and comfort to her. Pat lived independently at Luther Park for many years and enjoyed her friends and the activities hosted by the facility.

She is survived by: sister, Dorothy Mortice, her nieces Cherie Mortice, Diana Coulthard, Pat McMillan and nephews John McMillan, John St. John and Adam St. John and sister in law Lois St. John, great nieces Lisa Coulthard Leon, Beth Coulthard Luke and great nephew Brent Coulthard.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Vera St. John, her brother Richard St. John and her sister Jean McMillan.

Services will be held Friday, March 13, 2020 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m., followed by funeral service at 1 p.m. with burial at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
