Carol J. Glass, 91, passed away on March 3, 2020. She was born December 1, 1928 in Clive, Iowa to Frank and Eillien (Swanson) Waddell.
Carol was a woman of faith. She loved animals, flowers, family gatherings and will be remembered as an excellent cook. Above all else, Carol put her family first.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Robert; children, Julie (Kent) Welsh, Janis (Dale) Hochreiter and James (Michelle) Glass; 4 grandchildren, Spencer and Erik Welsh, and Mae and Ben Glass.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, John Waddell and Naomi Doake; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, March 9, 2020 at The Mission Church, 12001 Ridgemont Dr, Urbandale, IA. Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines. Burial will follow services at Iowa Veterans Cemetery.

From all your family in California we are so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother our aunt. I have had a few conversations with her over the years and can remember our visits when we were kids with fond memories. She was a sweet nice lady and our thought and prayers go out to all of you on your loss.
