Russell K. West, 83, passed away February 25, 2020. He was born May 13, 1936.
Russell married the love of his life, Lorna Peters. She preceded him in death in 2018.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 – 12:00 pm on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines with a graveside service to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
No flowers or memorials are requested.

Its with a sad and heavy heart I even have to write on this on your memorial page! It has been many years since Ive seen you! One of my favorite uncles to go see! I have missed and loved you everyday since our last meeting! Please give Grandpa Gene big hugs for me along with Aunt Lorna! Im sorry I didnt make it sooner to you my friend! Our sincere condolences to the families of Russell & Lorna West. We have never met but the impact that they made on our lives only come once in a lifetime. We were fortunate enough to have been in the right place at the right time and purchase the fantastic house that they built to meet accessible needs.They were truly our angels unaware of their legacy on our behalf. We are truly sorry for your loss.
