I will miss you Grandma...and one day you will meet your Great Grandson Gannon.
Until that day, you will live on in the stories we tell about you...your sincerity, blunt honesty, and even the delicious fudge you had ready to eat every time I visited....by the way, requesting one plate of those the next time we meet.
Love you,
Vickie Aasland

I will miss Aunt Joan greatly! I remember her as a loving, caring, and really fun Aunt. When we were little we lived just down the street on Lewis and spent about as much time at her house as ours.
Does anyone remember how we would beg her to take out her teeth and tell us the story of Goosey? She would flip our her false teeth with her tongue, purse her lips and talk like someone who had no teeth at all, and tell about Goosey being wooed by her boyfriend Bill and at the end he said "Goosey would you please marry me and I said "Oh I guess you darned fool." If anyone remember exactly how the whole story goes I would love for you to let me know.
Also when Mom and Dad moved to Michigan and I was coming back to Oregon from there I stopped in Des Moines I stayed with Aunt Joan a couple of days and her and I went out dancing one night and her, Aunt Jean and I went out amother night and had a lot of fun with them.
I will remember her and miss her always.

We are going to miss our Aunt Joan....she was so loved. Her memory will live on forever with us. I remember going to the farm, as a child, and she would take me riding on 'Topsy'.
She was always so much fun. Thru the years, she was always there to 'listen, laugh with me, cry with me, recalling memories with me of my parents and my Grandma & Grandpa Wyckoff. She loved her family so much...she was always telling me the cute things her great grandchildren did/said...she enjoyed life to the fullest.
Everytime I make Fudge - I will remember and laugh, and cry, with Cindy - you brought so much laughter to our lives.
I will miss you Aunt Joan, but, I will see you one day....love you forever,
Karen & Roger.

Dear Max and Wyckoff family:
I heard about Joan's untimely passing from my sister Ruth yesterday. I wanted to let you know how sorry I am. You will all be in my prayers for days and days. Our families seem to grow smaller with the years passing by. But I know she is in the arms of God. She will know no more suffering or pain. God Bless you all in this time of sorrow.
Sincerely, your Colorado Counsin Ann
