Melissa Gorshel

Melissa B. Gorshel, 43, passed away on April 3, 2009 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the memorial service.
Melissa was a volunteer at Easter Seals Center, Goodwill Industries and many animal organizations. She loved working with the animals, fishing and the outdoors.
She is survived by her mother, Abbie; her siblings, Daniel, Michael, Debra (Brian), Rick and Mitchell (Joyce); and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Steven.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Des Moines Animal Rescue League.
