Jewell E Shull

Jewell E. Shull, 95, died Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Urbandale Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday April 6, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Jewell was born November 14, 1913 to Carl and Emma Davis in Des Moines. She graduated from East High School and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Jewell worked part time for the State of Iowa for many years, but her true love was raising her family.
Jewell is survived by her children, Darrell Shull of Des Moines and Laraine Merrifield of Winterset; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ray Shull.
