Roy Berry

Roy Berry went home to be with God at the age of 55 on March 26, 2009, due to complications of a lung transplant at Barns Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Roy was a great father, grandpa and friend. He was always there when someone needed him. He was a very giving man and put others needs before his. For many years, Roy built swimming pools along side his son, Troy.
Roy is survived by his daughter, Janice (Matt) Berry-Pinegar and their children, Jordan Berry and Paige Pinegar; his son, Troy (Wynde) Berry and their children, Cayla Korte, Tori Berry, Nathan Korte, Skylar Berry, Chance Korte and Isaiah Berry; his adopted grandchild, Megan Payne; the mother of his children, Sue Davis; his brothers, Ray, Gary and Russ Berry, Randy Wright and all their spouses; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frieda and Russ Berry; his sister, Brenda Berry and a brother, Darrell Berry.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Visitation with family present will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services.
