David Larson

David N. Larson, 64, died Friday, March 27, 2009 at his home, surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Polk City United Methodist Church, 1421 West Broadway Street, with burial at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Alleman. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Monday at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th, Des Moines.
Coach Larson was born May 13, 1944 to Henry and Jane Larson in Webster City and was raised in West Des Moines. He was a dedicated teacher and coach for 33 years, 25 years was at North Polk High School in Alleman.
David is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathleen; sons, David, Sean, Chris, Bryan (Kimberly), and Matthew (Stacy). He was a good Grandpa to 6 boys, Tyler, Jordan, Chandler, Collin, Owen and Nathan. He was preceded in death by his son Andrew.
At David’s request, in lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted, on his behalf, for the Polk City United Methodist Church, Youth program.
