Sherry Lou Lacey, age 62, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Sherry was born August 26, 1957 in Des Moines, Iowa to Larry and Mary (Lamb) Lacey. She was a dog lover, a Minnesota Vikings fan, and enjoyed bowling. Sherry loved her family above all else.
She is survived by her sons, James (Paige) Smith, Chris (Elizabeth) Long, and Ryan Smith; her mother, Mary Fallis; her sister, Terrie (Chuck) Baumgart; nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Larry Lacey.
Cremation will occur. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

I knew Sherry through my sister, Linda, and remember our friendship with nostalgia and fondness.

My thoughts and prayers are with your families during your time of grief. Sherry was good friends with two of my cousins, Linda Deaton- Glover, and Charlene Snelson- Lange.
As a young girl, I remember them always chatting over coffee, and going to the drive in movie theaters together. When you look to the sky, just remember the good times and that she's looking down at you
