Mildred Hardy

Mildred Marie Hardy, 88, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Valley View Village. She was born June 24, 1920 in Des Moines.
Mildred enjoyed daily devotions with her Savior, writing poems, nature, angels, playing the organ, children, dolls, teddy bears, family and friends.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husbands, Ross Martens and Robert Hardy; mother, Olive Harris; and her brother, Raymond Swihart. She is survived by her sister, Mary Jo Baker; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Per Mildred’s request, her body has been cremated and a service of remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Valley View Village Chapel, 2571 Guthrie Ave. in Des Moines. Private inurnment will be held at the Masonic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Valley View Village in memory of Mildred Hardy.
