I first met Dick in 1983. Over the past 4 years we have consistently been in close relationship. A truly giving, generous, fun and interesting man. When I used to visit him in Ft. Dodge (and knowing of my life-long appreciation of rhubarb pie) Dick and I always went to Mrs. Z's restaurant because she was 1 of the few restaurant owners still offering rhubarb pie. I am honored that Dick asked that I serve as an honorary pall bearer on February 8th. Dick will be missed by many.

I adored Richard. He was my friend and I miss him terribly. I was honored that he chose to stay in touch with me through the ups and downs or his illness. Every phone call ended with "I love you" on both ends. They were not just words. They were heartfelt. Till we meet again I love you Richard
