Marilyn R. Perkins

Marilyn Ruth Perkins, age 93, of Des Moines passed away January 25th, 2020 at Karen Acres Assisted Living after a long battle with Dementia.

Marilyn was born July 31, 1926, the daughter of Fred Deutsche and Lora Ehrenhard. She worked for the telephone company and married Frank Perkins June 5, 1949.

Survived by her husband Frank, daughter Coleen, son Dana (Joleen), granddaughter Sarah, and nephew Martin (Casie). Preceded in death by her daughter Annette, and brothers Fred and Merritt.

First and foremost, Marilyn was a dedicated mother and wife. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She was a deacon at her church and also volunteered her time to help others in the community. She had a warm, caring personality and always made people around her laugh.

Marilyn was loved very much by her family and will be deeply missed. Her life well lived will be carried on through her family and those she touched.

A private interment will be held at Glendale Cemetery.
