Jacob Ryan Pullen, 8, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from injuries sustained in a car accident. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jacob was born March 29, 2000 in Des Moines to Jason Robert Pullen and Angela Nichole Harvey. He was in the 3rd grade at Clay Elementary at SE Polk School District in Altoona. Jacob was a happy, energetic boy who loved to read, enjoyed WWE and monster trucks. He attended Grace Church and was a member of the Concrete Cruizers Car Club.
Jacob is survived by his parents, Jason Robert Pullen and Angela Nichole Harvey; sister, Savannah Harvey; paternal grandparents, Gary and Sandy Pullen; maternal grandmother, Kim Edwards; uncles, Christopher Pullen, Chad (Maranda) Harvey and Justin (April) Harvey; aunts, Maggie (R.J.) Lancaster and Jamie Lynn Foutz; great-grandmothers, Veltia Pullen, Kathleen Schwartztrauber and Edythe Jones; and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Edwards.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jacob Pullen Memorial Fund at Legacy Bank, 502 8th St. SW, Altoona, Iowa 50009.
