Joseph Schuler, age 38, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020. He was born on August 1, 1981 in Des Moines, Iowa. Joseph graduated from East High School in 1999. He was an avid Hawkeye and Vikings fan and enjoyed playing disc golf with friends. Above, everything he loved spending time with his daughter.

He is lovingly survived by his daughter, Autumn Schuler; mother, LaRonna (Tom) Opheim; sister, Stephanie Gentry; step siblings, Timothy (Anna) Opheim, Brett (Jess) Opheim, and Ashley Opheim; best friend, Josh Smith; aunt, Terri (Terry) Stevens; and uncle, Dan (Cherie) Schuler.

Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Michael Schuler.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
