January 16, 2020
Randall Lawrence Geyerman, 69, passed away January 16, 2020. Services will be held Friday, January 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Randy was born October 30, 1950 in Mitchell, SD to Fritz and Jean Geyerman. He was educated at Tulane University, Dakota State, and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania earning his Master’s degree in economics and accounting. Randy had a thirst for knowledge. He was an avid reader his entire life and was never without a book close at hand. He enjoyed studying the Civil War, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, gardening, fishing, and spending time at the cabin in Minnesota.
Randy married Maureen Twiss in Huron, SD on January 29, 1977. The couple spent 40 years in Northwest Iowa while Randy worked as a CFO and COO for various companies, retiring from Center Fresh in 2017. Randy did a lot of good for people and was a good man.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Maureen Geyerman; their children, Joseph (Ashley), Neil (Amanda), and Patrick (Marina Morton) Geyerman; sister, Nancy Arora; and grandchildren, Adalyn, Jasper and Hazel. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Rick.
For memorials, please bring or donate a book in Randy’s honor to your local library, school, preschool or daycare provider; or a monetary donation to National Public Radio (NPR).

I worked with Randy at Trans Ova Genetics for years. He was the best listener I have ever met. Tough skill for very smart people, but he was a master at it. Our sympathies,

Maureen and family,
Randy Geyerman was mentioned in the petitions this morning at St Francis in West Des Moines, which is my parish since moving to WDM in 2013.
Of course, I wanted to confirm that it was the Randy Geyerman we remembered from Albert City. Im sorry to learn that you have lost him.
Tom and I so enjoyed you both in our times together. He has now been gone 12 years.
I can empathize with your sadness and void.
But know that God walks with us through this valley of tears. I pray your children can be a great comfort to you.
Perhaps there will be a time in the future for us to reconnect.

I learned so much from Randy during the days we were teammates at Pro Pork. His financial insight and human relations skills were exceptional. I have often remembered his unique wit. It was a privilege to have known Randy. May you embrace the comfort of friends and the comfort of our Great God. Dave Smidt

Randy's Obituary mentioned he did good for a lot of people........that is a understatement!
The teammates he supported at SGE LP thru his years serving on the board will never be forgotten.
Also his crucial role he played in my earlier years of starting Barrick Feed will always be appreciated.
Thank you Randy

We lost a good one, a real fisher of men. Enjoyed the times fishing with Randy and gang in Canada. Always loved picking his brain on the research he had done on walleye and talking Hawkeyes. His presence will forever be in my boat when I pick up that walleye rod! !Thoughts and prayers are with you all.
