Miriam A. Briley, 73, passed away at her home on January 16, 2020. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa on December 30, 1946, to Jack and Genevieve Stone.
Miriam was a faithful member of Heritage Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed coloring, spoiling her dog, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Miriam is survived by her loving husband, Mark Briley; brother, Mark Stone; son, Richard (Brandy) Bishop; daughter, Kathie (Gary) Grieves; son, Joe (Amber) Briley; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; as well as other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Genevieve; her sister, Marcia Stone; and 2 grandchildren, Brandi Bishop and Kaidence Cooper.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. in Des Moines with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday evening from 5-7 p.m.

This woman was peaches to me. She was my mom's best friend. I love you so much. You was my adopted mom. I will truly miss our talks. Now all the female's that I talked to and confided in are gone. Thank you Mimi for always being such a wonderful person and being there for me when I needed to talk. Please give my mom and aunt a big hug for me. Have my momma give you a big hug as well. Gone but not forgotten.
