Rose Foronato

Rose M. Foronato, 85, of Des Moines passed away on March 21, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4-8 P.M. Wednesday evening at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home where there will be a 7:00 P.M. vigil service. Rose was a self employed housekeeper and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church where she also belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She is survived by her daughter Vicky (Roy) Hughes, her son Bob Foronato, her daughter-in-law Donna Keller and her sister Angie Mauro all of Des Moines as well as six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Romolo, her son Ron Keller and her grandchildren Jeri Pogue and Dan Hughes.
