Carole Soutter, 77, passed away at her home on January 8, 2020.

Carole was born February 14, 1941 in Newton, Iowa. She retired from the Polk County Assessor’s Office after 20 years of service. Her greatest joy in life was camping and traveling with her husband all over the United States. Carole also enjoyed crafting, writing poetry and caring for her furry friends.

Carole is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, William; daughter, Paula (Dan) Sjullie; sister, Joyce Guthrie; and her brother, Tom (Jennifer) McConeghey.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Carole’s Life will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
