Roger Duane Moen

Roger Moen, 74, died peacefully Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Des Moines. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. in Des Moines, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at the Iowa Veteran’s Cemetery in Van Meter.
Roger was born June 14, 1934 to Norma and Burt Moen in Madison, WI. He joined the United States Army during the Korean War. He was proud to be baptized on Easter in 2006.
Roger is survived by his wife, Sharon; his children: Thomas (Linda Rattray) Moen, Harold (Nancy) Gordon, Gina Tejeda, and Roger Hoff, Jr.; his grandchildren: Tammy and Jessica; several great grandchildren; his brothers: Kenny (Rose), Rodney (Dick), and Donald (Margaret) Moen. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert; and his great granddaughter Mariah Shivers.
