William (Bill) Kenneth Riddle
December 31, 2019
William (Bill) Kenneth Riddle, 63, of Des Moines, IA, passed away on December 31, 2019.
Bill was born in Des Moines, IA on April, 28, 1956 to Gloria Jean Maples (Riddle) Anderson and Glen Howard Riddle. He graduated high school from William Workman High School in City of Industry, CA in 1974.
Bill was married to Joni (McKern) Hollis on August 13, 1976; they were married for 24 years. During their union they had two daughters, Shelene and Anna.
Bill worked as a Lead Maintenance Floater for Conlin Properties for 3 years. He was Mr. Fix it, if it was broke, he still would find a way to make it work again. Bill was also actively involved with the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine and Eastgate Lodge for 25 years.
Bill was known for being an excellent cook. When he was preparing the meal you knew you were in for a major treat! He passed his talent and signature recipes down to his eldest daughter Shelene. Bill and his mother enjoyed decorating cakes together, that love got passed down to his youngest Anna. Anna and Bill loved working on new cupcake flavors and he loved teaching her how to decorate the big cakes. Bill also loved making things with his grandkids, like building the cheerleading box for his granddaughter Kailey and dancing like crazy boys with his grandson Jacob. Bill was his daughters and grandkids biggest fan, always at our activities cheering us on the loudest.
Bill is survived by his daughters Shelene (Greg) Dickel, Anna Riddle (Chance Staab), grandchildren Kailey Dickel and Jacob Dickel. His mother Gloria Anderson; brothers, Jimmy (Cindy) Kelly, Gene (Dorothy) Riddle, and Mike Riddle; sisters, Melissa (George) Hachmeister, Beth Anderson, and Gail (Gary) Rodican; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved German Shepard Josie.
Bill is preceded in death by his father Glen Howard Riddle; stepfather Andy Anderson; stepmother Marcia Riddle; brothers Glen Walter Riddle, David Anderson, and Glen Howard Kelly; sister Deborah May Riddle Gettler.

Bill was my dad's cousin, and great friend as well. Through all my dad's illnesses, Bill always found time to come visit, play a game of cribbage, share a LOT of laughs. He was a class act, I was lucky to know him. RIP Uncle.

Bill, I will miss you so much. This fall when I fell & I called to ask you to help me, you ran right over & helped me to get up. When I needed help in the house fixing you were always there. When I needed help in the yard you came over then. Oh Bill there will never be another person like you. The only that encourages me is knowing that sometime maybe real soon I will see Jesus & my Friend Bill waiting for me. I love & miss you Bill. Judy

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Bill working at Prairie Meadows and he was such a sweet man and funny. Shortly after we met I ran into him on the floor and he said hi Connie and I said I Jim, and he said my name is Bill and I said oh my bad you remind me of Jim Belushi lol and from that moment on it became our running joke. We would laugh when I would say Jim and others looked like what that isnt his name. I am honored to have known him. Fly high Bill aka Jim lol
