Visitation will be held from 12-1 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 p.m.

My prayers and thoughts go to the family of Dennis. I remember being a roofer with him at Firestone on the barn in the back. We were on top of the roof tearing everything off and all of a sudden Dennis said "You step here and I'll step here..." and I never heard the word "here" because he fell through the roof! He fell at least 40 feet! I didn't get off the roof until they got me off with the crane. The next thing I remember is seeing him walking around and talking! He had only one scratch on his nose!
Now God has him and is taking care of him and he's looking down on us.
It's not saying goodbye, Dennis, it's - "I'll see you later!"
