Minne Kelly

Minnie B. Kelly, 91, Grand Rapids, formerly of Des Moines, IA, died on Saturday, March 21, 2009 in the Grand Itasca Hospital, Grand Rapids.
Born January 23, 1918 in Carney, IA, she was the daughter of Attilio and Gelsumina (Battani) Bianchi. She had lived in Newton, IA until moving to Des Moines in 1963. Minnie had been a resident of Grand Rapids for the past 18 years. Minnie and Earl P. Kelly, Sr. were married in June of 1938 in Visitation Church in Des Moines. She was a home maker, had worked for the Des Moines Public Schools and was a member of the All Saints Catholic Parish in Des Moines.
Her parents, Attilio and Gelsumina Bianchi, her husband Earl P. Kelly, Sr. and a grandson, Michael Kelly preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Earl (Madeleine) Kelly, of Des Moines, IA, her daughter, Muriel (Lloyd) Harbin of Grand Rapids, five grandchildren, Matthew Harbin, Michael Harbin, Derek Harbin, Anne Palladino, and Kathy Kelly, seven great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, and a sister, Nellie Coe of Columbus, OH.
Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Tuesday, March 24, 2009 with Prayer Service at 6:45 PM at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, Iowa. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at All Saints Catholic Church, Des Moines, IA. Burial will be in the Oralabor Cemetery, Ankeny, IA.
The family prefers memorials to the Eyerly - Ball Mental Health Center, Orchard Place, or All Saints Catholic Church.
