Brian Struve

Brian Mark Struve was born March 13, 1971 in Chicago Heights, Illinois to Roger and Becky (Fisher) Struve. He passed away on December 5, 2019. He lived in many places during his life. He graduated from Wheaton Central High School in 1989. He served in the Army during Desert Storm. He was a Lawncare Technician for 25 years employed by many different firms. He married Tonya Young on September 30, 2017 in Carlisle, Iowa.

Brian is survived by his wife Tonya (Young) Struve, his mother Becky Struve, his sisters Angela (Mike) Vaupel and Catherine (Jeff) Franz, his children Tyler Struve, Eric Struve, Jacquelyn (Christopher) Luecking, and Jessie Dean Struve, his step-children Ashley Lierow and Cody Lierow, his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his faithful service dog Bashful.

He was preceded in death by his father Roger Struve, his grandparents on both sides, and his beloved Rottweiler Romo.

Services will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines with family present from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., service at 11:00 a.m., with lunch to follow. Memorials may be made to America’s VetDogs. Interment will be at a later date at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa.
