Lynda Teichroew

Lynda Joy (Beckon) Teichroew, age 60, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at her sister’s home in Manchester, Iowa.

Lynda was born January 28, 1959 in Ankeny, Iowa. She graduated from Ankeny High School in 1977 and went to college at Iowa State University and Faith Baptist Bible College. Lynda worked at Iowa Student Loan for over 20 years. She enjoyed singing, sewing, reading, taking walks, and above all, playing with her grandson and spending time with her children. She volunteered her time at the Food Pantry and enjoyed making blankets and hats for cancer patients at Blank Children’s Hospital.

Lynda is survived by her children, Aleson Teichroew, Jerel Teichroew, Sylvie Cox, and Zara Teichroew; sister, Kelli Messerly; and her grandson, Skyler Cox.

She was preceded in death by her parents, June (Martley) Head and Joseph Beckon.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m., Monday, December 23, 2019 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Blank Children’s Hospital in honor of Lynda.
