John Felice

John Felice, 74, passed away on December 11, 2019 at Mercy One Hospital in Des Moines. He was born in Des Moines, on May 31, 1945, to Anthony and Sue (Chicchelly) Felice.
John enjoyed a variety of things including, woodworking, jigsaw puzzles, drawing, fishing, and baseball. His favorite teams were the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bears and the Iowa Hawkeyes. John worked and retired from the City of Des Moines as a street sweeper operator.
John is survived by his wife, Carol; his children, Jason (Candace) Felice – Abigail Felice; Jordan (Jenna Felice) – Zack and Tyler Willett, Chris (Stephanie) Felice –Joseph and Luke Felice and Kinsey Overton; siblings, Anthony (Janet) Felice, Sister Suzanne Felice and Norma Jean (Mo) Greenlee; sister in law, Norma Jean Felice; along with a host of loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas; sisters, Therese (Cookie) and Mary Louise and twin sons, Jeremy and Jamie Felice.
The family will greet friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, December 16, 2019 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 210 Route 63 Hwy, Indianola, Iowa.

John was a great man, that could talk to anyone as though they were his best friend. I will miss those stories and laughs we shared over the years. Carol, my sincere condolences. RIP John. You were so loved.

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I remember when we were little kids, chasing fire flys, he would make me fire fly rings. All of us kids would play baseball in the streets, and hide-go-seek. Lots of good memories with John & all his brothers & sisters. Rest in peace John.
