Dolores Perry

Dolores Perry, 89, passed away December 3, 2019, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. She was born November 7, 1930, the daughter of Frank and Lucille Merzel.

Dolores was an independent woman who was passionate about researching her Native American heritage. She loved spending time outdoors on her 10-acres of land and making crafts from nature’s treasures. Dolores was also an animal lover and had a special place in her heart for horses.

Dolores is survived by her niece and nephew, Laura and James Gregory; and David Perry; and her dear friend, Donna Frost and family. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Dolores will be missed by those in her neighborhood who cared deeply for her.

Memorial contributions may be given to UnityPoint Hospice in loving memory of Dolores.

A private burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery at a later date.
