Darlene Garrison

Darlene Garrison passed away December 5, 2019 at Westview Care Center in Indianola. She was born in Rock Falls, Illinois to Solon and Hazel Everly.

Darlene enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida where she loved to visit, but didn’t want to live. She enjoyed camping and get-togethers with friends. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. Darlene was a volunteer “Grandma” at various elementary schools and treasured her time spent reading to all of the kids. She was also an in-home caregiver to seniors.

Darlene is survived by her children, Mary (Suzie) Stewart, Barbara French, Sears (Janie) French and Wesley (Shirlene) Garrison; grandchildren, Elijah and Emilie Stewart, Eric Ely, Bryian Anderson, Wilford Bo French, Christopher Max French, Chastity Nicole Hawkins, Alecia Shannon, Dennis Langley, Shanna Garrison, Christany Richey and Amanda Garrison; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Eugene Everly; as well as many other loving relatives and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Garrison; grandson, Aaron Anthony French; six brothers and one sister.

Per Darlene’s wishes, her body has been donated and no services are planned at this time.
