Sidney Dickey, 84, passed away November 20, 2019 at Fleur Heights Care Center.
Sidney was born March 12, 1935 in Pocahontas County, Iowa to Loran and Julia Hout. She worked as a night supervisor at Des Moines General Hospital. Sidney enjoyed her flowers and plants. She was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Sidney is survived by her children, David Dickey and Sherry (Ted) Snider; grandchildren, Emily and Dale; sister, Marilyn Tomforde; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dale Dickey.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2019 at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5615 SW 14th Street. Sidney will be laid to rest at Glendale Cemetery.

My condolences to the family of Sidney Dickey. She was my mom's neighbor and then mine for many many years. A very nice lady. She will be missed.

My sympathy to you Sherry, David and families. Your mom was such a great niece to my mom when she would visit in Des Moines. Such a sweet lady and caring nurse. I remember being in your mom & dads wedding, so many wonderful memories of Sidney!
