Tha Bounsiri

Tha Bounsiri, 56, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be held from 9 am to 8 pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Tha was born June 10, 1952 in Xayabouri, Laos to Chanh and Oun Souphakham. She was a homemaker. Tha loved being with her family and spent her life caring for them. She enjoyed growing flowers and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Pan Bounsiri; her son, Max (Khenchanh) Bounsiri; her daughters, Melinda Xaysana and Da (Phetsamone Vannaseng) Bounsiri; her four grandsons and five granddaughters; many friends who loved her. She will be missed by all who knew her. Tha was preceded in death by her son, Saengla "Andy" Bounsiri.
