Frances K. Van Dyke-Poore

Frances Kay Van Dyke-Poore, 77, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Frances was born April 15, 1942 in Des Moines, Iowa. She enjoyed time with her friends, going to the casino, and playing cards. Her family was her pride and joy and she loved spending time with them.
She is survived by her children, Timothy (Kim) Van Dyke, Ricky Van Dyke, and Kelli Novak; grandchildren, Vanessa Van Vark, T.J. (Ashley) Van Dyke, Alexander (Miranda) Van Dyke, Jessica Van Dyke, Ryan Van Dyke, Joseph Wulfekuhle, and Halle Wulfekuhle; great-grandchildren, Ayla, Sullivan, Layna, Thea, Sage, Breckin, and one on the way; brothers, Larry (Dixie) Hutzell, Jerry Shepherd, and Robert (Connie) Neuendorf; and her beloved dog, Molly.
Frances was preceded in death by her siblings, Gary Hutzell and Virginia Dudly; and her parents, John Zachar and Bernice Neuendorf.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. A memorial service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, also at the funeral home, with a reception to follow.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Frances.

It was my honor to know Fran. I was her hairstylist the past few years. She was a wonderful customer and friend.I will miss her, but I will see her again. She Loved Jesus, and we who Love Jesus will be together,forever.!

Fran was always the person who found the best in everyone. Such a positive lady fun to be around. She always had a smile. Fran enjoyed all things around her she maximized every opportunity while she was still here. She loved life. I will miss her.
