Michael G. Stanley

Michael Glen Stanley, 56, unexpectedly departed our company on November 3, 2019. President and Owner of Stanley Service, Inc. in Polk City, he was well known around the area and in farming communities across the country. He was quick to lend a helping hand to friends, family and strangers and there was little he couldn’t fix or improve. He always had a smile on his face and was well known for traveling great distances to surprise people with a short visit. He had a huge heart and diverse interests and will be missed by many.

Mike is survived by his sister, Nancy (Larry) Hutchins; nephew, Adam (Lisa) Hutchins; niece, Heather McKinney; great-nephew and great-niece, Glen and Grace; as well as his soulmate, Diana Turner and her family.

A celebration of life reception will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines from 3-6 p.m.
