Paul M. Kellogg

Paul Manson Kellogg, age 72, passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Paul was born July 23, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa to Alfred and Pearl (Blair) Kellogg. He graduated from Tech High School in 1965. He served his country in the United States Army from 1967 to 1972. He married the love of his life, Mary, on January 10, 1970. Paul retired from Principal Financial as a Press Operator and was proud to have given them 33 years of faithful service.
Paul enjoyed his family, riding his motorcycle, playing cards, watching old westerns, and going to Branson, Missouri when he had the chance. Paul was an avid gun advocate.
He is survived by his daughters, Dawn (Bob) Hickman, Shondra (Jody) McLaughlin, and Gretchen (Allen) Ellefson; sister, Marge Tinlin; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kellogg; parents, Alfred and Pearl Kellogg; brothers, Phil and Bob Kellogg; and sisters, Betty Danielson and Darlene Simpson.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2019 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019, also at the funeral home, and will conclude with burial with military honors at Blair Chapel, in Bevington, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League or the Wounded Warrior Project in loving memory of Paul.
